Nestled between the counties of Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Berkshire, Wiltshire is a land-locked South-Western county of England.
The county town of Wiltshire is Trowbridge (was Wilton). The city of Salisbury is in Wiltshire, most notable for its mediaeval cathedral. Towns within Wiltshire include Chippenham, Trowbridge, Warminster, Marlborough, Devizes, Melksham, Salisbury (city) and Wilton (made famous by The Wilton Royal Carpet Factory).
The Salisbury Plain is known because of the location of Stonehenge and the Avebury stone circles. It’s also the training area for the British Army (not on Stonehenge or Avebury though!).
The Kennet & Avon canal crosses through the middle of the county. Great for canal trips, but the water also provides other sports like kayaking, walking along the tow path, as well as cycling.
The A303, A36 and M4 are the main road routes through the county. Fire Care and Security provide services to businesses throughout Wiltshire. Keeping business premises safe from fire risk is a legal requirement by business owners. With Fire Care and Security they can look after all your services and requirements, providing the peace of mind and allowing businesses to carry on “business as usual”.
