The market town of Fareham sits between neighbouring cities of Southampton and Portsmouth in Hampshire. On the North-Western edges of Portsmouth harbour, there is a famous creek, which over the years was seen as of great importance for both the armed forces and also commercial trade vessels.
Fire Care and Security is based fairly close to Fareham, in one of Southampton’s suburbs, Eastleigh. Fire Care and Security’s local clients take advantage of most of FCS’s services. Fire Risk Assessments are often the starting point for Fire Care and Security, as they are what many clients ask to be carried out. These FRA are a legal requirement, very important and can highlight other areas which can help secure and cover the client’s business.
Fire Care and Security can offer fire risk assessment advice, as well as carrying out a comprehensive assessment of the business premises. Sometimes, what seems like an innocent rearrangement of an office, could leave the office vulnerable to a blocked fire exit, or something equally as bad. Fire Care and Security are fully trained and qualified assessors and will ensure you abide by the law and that your staff are safe at work.
FCS offer their clients a full fire care service that includes:
• fire alarm installation and servicing
• fire extinguisher servicing and installation
• fire warden training
• fire marshall training
The local road network includes the A27, once the main route from Southampton to Brighton. The M27 is now the main route, with the motorway running from Portsmouth to the very edge of The New Forest National Park. Fareham lies just two junctions from Southampton and two away from Portsmouth.
Whiteley, a fairly new housing and commercial area was built on the outskirts and is managed by both Fareham borough council and Winchester borough council. Whiteley includes the Solent Business Park, one of the area’s largest and important business centres. The Whiteley Shopping Centre is a large outdoor shopping venue with over 50 high-street retailers. This gives Fareham’s residents the choice for their retail therapy of either Whiteley Shopping Centre, or the more central Fareham Shopping Centre.
Local to Fareham is the seaside town of Lee on the Solent. Lee has a long, shingle beach, stretching for two miles, from Fareham, on the way to Stoke’s Bay, Gosport. The views all along the beach are of the Solent waters and the Isle of Wight.
